Born in Turin, the author has lived for many years in Germany with her family and is currently president of the Coordinamento Donne Italiane di Francoforte, which she co-founded in 2004. A historian by profession, she has taught in universities and also Italian for foreigners for a long time.
Torino-Francoforte. Andata e ritorno (ed. Sardini, 2023) is an autobiography that recounts the life of the author, but also the family, social and political context, addressing various themes: the link with Trieste through her mother’s family, interrupted due to the anti-Jewish laws of Fascism; the choice to study German and to move to Frankfurt; the complexities of emigration; the difficult balance between work and family; the commitment for and with women; the focus on the world of education.
