2022 CERGOLY AWARD

On the day of the birth of the poet and writer from Trieste Carolus Luigi Cergoly (20.9.1908- 4.5.1987), works by students on the national, pluricultural and multilingual character of Trieste / Trst Triest and / or the Austrian Littoral will be awarded in our Museum and / or Rijeka / Rijeka

The award was established by the Club Triestini Touristi under the patronage of: Trieste Press Circle, Hrvatska zajednica / Trieste Croatian Community, Trieste Jewish Community, Klagenfurt / Celovec Three Peoples Club, Slovenska kulturno gospodarska zveza / Unione Slovenian economic culture u Trstu, Trieste cultural society “Maria Theresia” and with the support of RoRoTranship.

Four participants will illustrate their works:

– Benedetta Fabrucci: “Polish Jews in the Jewish Community of Trieste 1938-1942”

– Francesca Luigia Massaro: “Trieste’s contribution to the Hellenic Revolution”

– Matteo Pasinato: “Trieste crossroads of civilizations”

– Gloria Pilastro: “The Jewish Community of Trieste: starting to live again after the Shoah (1945-1947)”

The jury, chaired by Giulia Stibiel, will confer the prizes.

FULVIO BOZZETTA, on guitar,

with Piero Purich on sax, and the participation of Matteo Verdiani.

Songs from the upcoming CD of the same name, where twenty-one poems by Cergoly were set to music.

Free admission up to a maximum of 60 people
