New Stumbling Stones in Trieste

Installation of 20 new Stumbling Stones in 11 different sites

Monday 10 January 2022 starting at 9 am

the Jewish Community of Trieste, with the collaboration of the Municipality of Trieste, the authorization of the Superintendency of archeology, fine arts and landscape of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the participation of the Petrarca Linguistic Classic High School of Trieste and the help of the National Association of Ex Deportees of Trieste and the Foundation Centro di Documentazione Ebraica Contemporanea in Milan

organizes the installation of twenty new Stolpersteine in Trieste.

The artist Gunter Demnig, creator of the project, unfortunately will not be present due to the persistence of the pandemic emergency and the installation will be entrusted to the descendants of the victims of the Nazi-fascist persecution mentioned in the Stones, assisted by the technicians of the Municipality.

Also due to the health situation, all those who will participate are invited to strictly comply with the provisions aimed at limiting the contagion from Covid-19.

We therefore recommend the use of FFP2 masks.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MUSEUM WILL BE CLOSED DURING THIS INITIATIVE.
